Jim Sommers, in the fence business since 1979, rushed to his Largo, Florida, fence company office after viewing a demonstration of a CNC routing table at the Lakeland, Florida, facility of a large national vinyl fence extruder. Jim says that while he was watching the router bit drill the holes in post after post, an idea lit up in his mind and he knew he could build his own routing table for a fraction of the cost of a computer-operated routing table.
His first routing table was built in 2002. Jim has self-fabricated all his vinyl fences and gates since that time using vinyl products purchased at wholesale prices. Having built 6 prototype tables using various materials and motion systems, in 2004 the patent pending Easy Routing Table (ERT-1500) was born as the centerpiece product for Blue Ribbon Fence Products, Inc.
This is how the Easy Routing Table fabrication system works. Using various combinations of any of the post and rail templates, a fence builder can now fabricate practically any style vinyl fence on the market today. The new fabrication approach is operator friendly, easy to set up, easy to use and runs on household electricity or a generator. Jim believes that anyone can learn to operate the ERT- 1500 in minutes and master it in a matter of hours.
Custom fencing and special requirements are not a problem as the material in the material bay can be easily moved in order to produce practically any profile required. The rail templates can create many different styles of high profit ornamental fencing. A fence builder can now create his own styles and designs using his basic inventory of pickets, posts, rails and caps. Also, the owner of the ERT-1500 will now have the capability to create and construct his own high-profit gates.
